Georgia Ward, Best Overall Design
Katrina Wilson, Special Award in Contemporary Realism
Jana Jekimenkova, Honorable Mention: Drawing
Kaitlyn Musial, Honorable Mention: Painting
"This year's show was outstanding, with many examples of excellent work,” said Foundation Program Director Linda Brown. “The efforts by our faculty to challenge students to think creatively were matched with strong student solutions to design problems.”
Two Foundation Program faculty members in each of the four course areas made up the jury for the first round of the competition, and Foundation Art History faculty members Afshan Bokhari and Grace Consoli chose the finalists.
The first step in the School of Art & Design’s educational process, regardless of major, is the Foundation Program, which is designed to provide students with the fundamentals of visual thinking and communication. Foundation studies teach students how to perceive with freshness and insight and execute visual ideas with confidence and precision.
