Elizabeth Trujillo has received a contract from Cambridge University Press to publish her proposed book, "New Visions on Trade and Sustainable Development." Professor Trujillo's book, to be funded partly by her Humboldt Research Fellowship (which will partially fund this project), comes at a timely moment, as governments are developing climate change policies and the WTO is negotiating a new agreement on environmental goods and services. The book will look at the ways in which trade, environment, and energy intersect and examine the role of trade regimes in providing a governing structure for sustainable development.  It will also examine the impacts of economic development through energy and natural resource exploration on local communities, particularly in the developing world (but also in parts of the US), and the challenges these communities face in our current model of development.  Publication of Professor Trujillo's book is expected in 2016.
