Professors Kate Nace Day and Russell Murphy were nominated for a 2014 Exceptional Merit in Media Award from the National Women’s Political Caucus for their anti-sex-trafficking documentary film, “A Civil Remedy.” The film was recently selected for October screenings at the United Nations Association Film Festival at Stanford and the Annual Meeting of the Council on Social Work Education in Tampa and will be shown next year at the Athena Film Festival at Barnard/Columbia and presented, with a panel to follow, at the XXXIV International Congress on Law and Mental Health in Vienna. The EMMA Awards Ceremony will be held on October 27 in New York City.
