CAS Graduate Student Orientation & Reception
Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015 3:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Early Check-In and Library Tour: 2 p.m.
The College of Arts & Sciences (CAS), the Office of Graduate Admission, and the Office of Orientation and New Student Programs are collaborating to offer new graduate students a brief orientation to the College and the larger University community. Please note that this orientation is offered in addition to any program-specific or International Student orientation you might be attending.
CAS Graduate Student Orientation will take place on Thursday, September 3, 2015 from 3:30 – 5:45 p.m at the 20 Somerset Street building. Immediately following orientation we invite you to join your fellow students and program directors at our Graduate Student Reception. Orientation check-in will take place beginning at 3:15 p.m. in the lobby of 20 Somerset. If you wish to arrive early for a Library Tour, early check-in will be held at 2 p.m.
Orientation will cover University policies and procedures, as well as financial aid, campus resources, and services for graduate students. Take advantage of this opportunity to meet graduate program directors, deans, and other administrators, as well as connect with other new students in your program and representatives from the Graduate Student Association.
Course Registration & ID Cards
All new graduate students should register for courses online prior to orientation. If you have any registration concerns, please contact your program director for assistance. Bring a photo ID, a copy of your fall registration, and your Suffolk identification number with you to orientation so that you can obtain your Suffolk student ID card.
