Overview of the Resident Assistant Application Process
RAs are integral members of the Residence Life & Housing team. Their primary goal is to support, create and maintain a thriving community in the residence halls.
To achieve this goal, RAs work as a team and serve as role models for other students. Some of their key responsibilities are:
- Community Development
- Peer Advising
- Planning/Executing Educational Programming
- Safety/ Policy Confrontation

Applications are currently available via SU Connect and will be due on Monday, January 29th by 5:00pm. The SU Connect application is available on the Residence Life & Housing (Department of) organization page under "Forms." This application includes essay questions and you must attach an up-to-date cover letter and resume. Only electronic submissions via SU Connect will be accepted. Applicants must also submit two recommendation forms. At least one form must be from a Suffolk faculty member or administrator. Applicants are required to attend one info session. Please see below for a complete list of info session dates, times and locations.
