First-Year Orientation

January Orientation

First year orientation in January is an exciting day and a half program that will introduce you to academic, campus, and city life at Suffolk University. Overnight housing on-campus is only provided to residential students (those who will be living on-campus in the spring semester). Housing is not available to off-campus/commuting students or any family members.

What to Bring:
Watch, cell phone charger, comfortable shoes, a jacket, gloves and scarf,, photo ID, a notebook, and a pen or pencil.

June Orientation

First year orientation in June is an exciting two-day / overnight program. Regardless of home location and where you will be living during the academic year, students are required to stay overnight in one of the Suffolk University residence halls. It is optional for participating family members to stay overnight in a residence hall (separate building from students) and this can be arranged for when registering for your session.

What to Bring:
Watch, alarm clock, cell phone charger, casual clothes, comfortable shoes, a sweater or jacket, umbrella, personal toiletries, photo ID, a notebook, and a pen or pencil. Towels, a pillow, and bed linens will be provided for you in the residence hall during our June sessions, but you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer it.

Transfer Orientation

Transfer orientation is an exciting single-day mandatory program. Overnight housing on-campus is only provided to residential students (those who will be living on-campus in the spring semester). Housing is not available to off-campus/commuting students or any family members.

What to Bring:
Photo ID, a notebook, pen or pencil, any outstanding final transcripts or credit evaluations from your previous institution.
